Sullivan Thoreau
Sullivan Thoreau is believed to have been born to a pack of wolves who subsequently abandoned the creature on the doorsteps of a kindly farm family.
The couple, co-producers of a rambling mass of DNA, forty limbs in all, barely noticed the addition of one more rambunctious youngster.
They provided their adopted animal with all the tools of normalcy; a solid religious foundation, a loving family environment, discipline, encouragement and three squares a day. All to no avail.
The creature was neither homogenized into, nor hypnotized by modern culture.
The festering malaise of the original wolf pack abandonment trauma fueled the urge to express an artistic perspective.
Sullivan Thoreau remains a feral creature, vaguely interested— and not necessarily skillful— in communicating outside that artistic perspective.
